All summer long fans have been clamoring for a taste of the action after a few months away from the sport.Well, this week, fans received a little snippet – which may be just enough to hold them over until the season kicks off.Media days started with a bang this week as the coaches and top players from each team met with the media to break down the coming season.On Thursday afternoon, one coach stole the show without saying a word. He led the Fighting Illini to a 9-27 record over the first three seasons and failed to make a bowl game.He might need to make a bowl game this season to keep a hold on his job. Illinois opens the season with a non-conference contest against Akron followed by a trip to UConn.
