first_imgProspect Park in Launceston will host the 2008 School Sport Australia National Touch Championships from Monday, 20 to Friday, 24 October 2008 in 12 and 15 Boys and Girls divisions. The very best primary and secondary aged Touch players will be in attendance hoping to have fun, meet new friends, and play some Touch Football in picturesque Tasmania.It will be a family affair with many parents making the journey to watch their children participate. Some high profile family names will also be on the paddock hoping adding to their family legacies. In the 15’s Girls divisions, New South Wales will be looking to avenge their 2007 loss to Queensland in the Final in Melbourne. They have the line-up to do so with current Australian 18’s Girls representative, Kimberley Resch, in the side. Madison Absolum also follows in her siblings footsteps by representing her state.The Queenslanders have some stars of their own. Michaela Jacks, daughter of Touch Football Australia Hall of Fame member Terry will be on show. Michaela will be looking to claim a National title like her brothers, Ryan and Rhys, who won the 20’s Boys division for Brisbane City Cobras at the recent 2008 X-Blades National Youth Championships.In the 15’s Boys division, New South Wales will be looking to defend their 2007 crown.
