first_imgAPPEAL: A Donegal family are appealing for any information after a laptop was stolen from their family home. The burglary took place in the rural village of Glenties and it occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning. The owner of the laptop is desperate to have her laptop returned as she has a vast amount of college material and other personal information stored on the PC.The victim who doesn’t want to be named is a student at NUI Maynooth and needs the laptop returned immediately. She is appealing to anyone that may have seen any suspicious activity around the Glenties area to come forward and contact Gardaí with information. The family had just returned on Thursday from Spain, where they had been working for the summer. The back door was left open on Saturday night as the student had gone on a night out with friends in the town.It was only when she was packing to return to college on the Sunday that she realised her laptop was missing. The laptop was in the utility room sitting on the counter and the victim is distraught about the theft.Gardaí suspect the culprits will flog the laptop and may well use online websites and Facebook pages to sell it.The laptop is a Fujitsu 4GB 700GB cam HDMI 15.6 so if anyone spots the item for sale contact Gardaí in Glenties immediately. Also as stated above if anyone sees suspicious activity in Glenties on Saturday then they should contact Gardaí now.
