Family woes keep Miller in California

first_imgWASHINGTON – Rep. Gary Miller, R-Diamond Bar, has not returned to Washington since announcing last month that his 33-year-old daughter had died unexpectedly. While colleagues said they don’t expect Miller to return to Congress until next year, an aide Thursday said the congressman has not yet made any schedule decisions. For now, Miller is remaining in California and declining media requests, said his spokesman Scott Toussaint. “He is still taking time with his family at this point. He appreciates that so many people have kept him in their thoughts,” Toussaint said. 160Want local news?Sign up for the Localist and stay informed Something went wrong.
